Meet The Doctor
David Diamond, DDS, MSD
Dr. Diamond is a native of Sudbury ON. He received his undergraduate science degree from University of Western Ontario, his dental degree from University of Toronto, and after practicing general dentistry for several years, went on to earn his specialty Certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry from Case Western Reserve University. As well as being certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery, Dr. Diamond is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and he is also a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Canadian Academy of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontology, and Ontario Society of Periodontists. Dr. David Diamond maintains a private dental practice in Sudbury with an emphasis on dental implant surgery, tissue regeneration, surgical periodontics and sedation. He strives to stay on the cutting edge of dental technology and continuing education, utilizing digital radiographs, cone beam computed tomography, piezosurgery and platelet rich fibrin/ plasma. He is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality periodontal and dental implant care.
Kim RIVAIT
Administration
Kim has been with Diamond Periodontics since 2014. She has over 30 years’ experience as a Certified Dental Assistant and Front Desk Administrator. Patients appreciate and respect her dedication to details and providing the time to answer their questions and concerns.
Kim continually strives to enhance the quality of Diamond Periodontics. Her caring and professional nature is contagious throughout our office.
Away from work her family is foremost. She has a love of the outdoors which includes long walks, camping and fishing.
Chantal YOUNG
Administration & Diamond Hygiene Study Club Coordinator
Chantal has been a part of the dynamic Diamond Periodontics team since 2016. Chantal complements our friendly and supportive staff. She handles patients’ questions, schedules appointments and manages our Diamond Hygiene study club.
Aside from her time at the office, she is a dedicate wife and mother and devotes her time to her family.
Denise Vaillancourt
Registered Dental Hygienist
Denise graduated from Cambrian College in 1991 and has been a part of our Diamond Periodontics Dental Hygiene team since 2012.
With almost 30 years of experience, Denise brings considerable knowledge in non-surgical periodontal therapy which enables her to realize her patient’s goals. Denise is dedicated at doing thorough case presentations which enables her to consider all aspects of non-surgical, surgical and implant dentistry. She has a special interest in implant maintenance and care.
Denise is bilingual and passionate about sharing her knowledge and continues to learn and grow as a dental professional. Her keen interest in education has been developed through research and lecturing for our Dental Hygiene Study Club.
Patients appreciate her dedication to details, her friendly smile and personality.
Outside of her time at work, Denise loves to spend time with her family and two Golden Retrievers. She enjoys kayaking, boating, snowshoeing, golfing and most recently Cross Fit
JOSÉE KAVELAARS
REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST
Josée graduated from Dental Hygiene in 2011 from College Boreal and offers consultation in French or English. She has been with the Diamond Periodontics team since opening day in 2011.
She brings nearly a decade of knowledge surrounding the non-surgical periodontal treatment, but also in the surgical consultations, as she had the opportunity to assist Dr. Diamond for 6 years.
Josee has a passion for dental hygiene and loves to expand her knowledge on the ever changing dental therapies, allowing her to achieve her patient’s goals. She enjoys continuing education as well as learning from her peers and Dr. Diamond. Patients appreciate the comfort and attention to detail she provides during consultation and treatment.
Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her husband and children as well as being outdoors by the water. She also enjoys keeping busy by running a craft shop with a close friend.
Maria GRECO
Registered Dental Hygienist
Maria studied Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene at Cambrian College. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, she has worked in the Periodontal field since graduating in 1988.
She is a member of the Dental Programs Advisory Committee at Cambrian College and has worked as an Instructor in their Dental Programs for over 20 years.
Maria has been involved in various roles in her local Dental Hygiene Society and has presented and participated in numerous lectures in local and distant communities.
An artist at heart, Maria has a strong passion to color her world.
Francine BANKS
Certified Dental Assistant
Francine graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Cambrian College in 2000 and has been a part of the Diamond Periodontics team since 2016.
Francine brings 19 years of experience to our office. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experiences that she has attained over the past years. Francine thrives every day to learn more about periodontics and continues to challenge herself daily.
Outside of the office Francine is very busy with her large family. She loves to spend her time at the gym, at camp or sitting around the pool with her family.
Aaron AUSTIN
Clinical Assistant/Infection Control Coordinator
Aaron is new to the Diamond Periodontics team as of June 2018. She was a graduate in the Dental Assisting Program at College Boreal in 2008 and brings over 10 years of dental experience to the team. Aaron is passionate about infection control and works hard to implement the latest guidelines and requirements from Public Health and governing colleges. She is also responsible for sterilization and patient flow, ensuring that the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
When she is not at work, Aaron enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 cats. She also enjoys crafting with her Mom and twin sister and spending as much time with her 3 nephews as she can.
