Dr. David Diamond, Director,                                                                      is the founder of Diamond Periodontics, a state-of-the-art periodontal and dental implant practice. Born and raised in Sudbury, he and his team have helped thousands of patients achieve beautiful and healthy smiles, having provided comprehensive implant, periodontic and full-mouth rehabilitation surgical dental services to residents of Northeastern Ontario. Dr. Diamond began his training at the University of Western Ontario where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. He then went on to pursue a Dental Degree at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, also working at The Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Diamond gained experience as a general dentist for more than a decade and later specialized in Periodontics and Implant Surgery completing his residency at Case Western Reserve University, School of Dental Medicine, Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals in Ohio. While in Cleveland, Dr. Diamond received anesthesia and sedation training and completed a Master’s Degree in Regenerative Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Dr. Diamond also has education and training in (Healthcare) Business Administration and Law. Over twenty years ago he was called to the Bar of Ontario and he actively maintains good standing as a Barrister and Solicitor with the Law Society of Ontario. He is also a Notary Public. Dr. Diamond is a dental lawyer who helps dentists and other health care professionals with their complex estate planning and administration, employment and occupational health and safety, real estate and other legal needs, including drafting clear and effective business agreements. In addition to helping manage the clinic and practicing law part-time, in his spare time he is an instrumental musician who also enjoys community volunteer work. Dr. Diamond has served as President of the Sudbury & District Dental Society. With over 30 years in dentistry, Dr. Diamond remains available for collaborative consultation, mentorship and continuing education.


Dr. Michael Coyne, Periodontist & Implant Surgeon, completed his undergraduate Degree in BioMedical Sciences at the University of Guelph, later completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Western Ontario. After one year of practicing general dentistry, he moved to Vancouver to pursue studies in Periodontics and Implantology at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Coyne was appointed the Chief Resident of his graduate periodontics residency program and earned distinguished teaching, research, and clinical proficiency awards by UBC’s Faculty of Dentistry, also achieving a Master of Science Degree in Craniofacial Sciences. His passion in periodontics and implantology includes digital dental implant therapy and teaching the next generation of aspiring periodontists. Dr. Coyne is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He also practises surgical periodontics and implantology in Barrie. In his spare time, Dr. Coyne enjoys exploring the outdoors, woodworking, and connecting with his family and friends across the country.


Dr. Jaffer Kermalli, Periodontist & Implant Surgeon, completed a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto graduating with high distinction. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery with honours and a Master’s of Science Degree specializing in Periodontology at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. Dr. Kermalli focuses on treatment of periodontal (gum) diseases and related conditions as well as dental implant surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Ontario Society of Periodontists and Ontario Dental Association. Dr. Kermalli is a part-time clinical instructor at the University of Toronto, has published extensively on dental implants and presented research at several international conferences. He is also an examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and the Past President of the Ontario Society of Periodontists. Dr. Kermalli enjoys exploring and integrating digital workflows and 3D printing technologies to provide highly accurate and minimally invasive treatment to his patients. He also maintains a periodontal and implant surgery specialty clinic in the Toronto area. Dr. Kermalli organizes and travels several times a year to treat under serviced areas such as orphans in Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, East Africa, Peru and refugee camps in Greece.


Dr. Dina Zahedi, Periodontist & Implant Surgeon,  obtained her Bachelor of Science with honours in Kinesiology from McMaster University. She then completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery and specialty Certificate in Periodontology from New York University. Dr. Zahedi is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (& Dental Implant Surgery). She also works in Toronto as a periodontist and is a part-time clinical instructor at University of Toronto. Dr. Dina Zahedi has demonstrated the drive and pursuit for excellence throughout her career. She enjoys pushing her limits with intense workouts which balances her amazing baking skills and sweet tooth. Dr. Zahedi enjoys performing a range of periodontal surgery including regenerative soft and hard tissue grafting, the surgical treatment of periodontal (gum) disease as well as utilizing guided surgery for accurate implant placement.


Dr. Jake Carriere, Dental Surgeon,                                                   was born and raised in Kapuskasing. He attended the University of Waterloo where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in BioMedical Sciences. Dr. Carriere completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree and an internship in emergency dentistry at the University of Western Ontario, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. He has education and advanced training in both oral surgery and sedation, including participation in mission trips to provide oral surgery treatment to patients in third world countries. Dr. Carriere was one of the faculty instructors for wisdom (third molar) tooth extractions at the Dentistree Academy in London, Ontario. He has lectured numerous dental students and dentists about oral surgery and practice efficiencies, and he has taught several dentists surgical procedures through continuing education courses. He owned and operated 7 successful dental offices in the Greater Toronto Area. Dr. Carriere is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and limits his practice only to oral surgery and sedation. He lives in Thunder Bay with his wife, daughter and golden retriever. Dr. Carriere travels across Ontario to provide oral surgery and sedation to multiple dental offices.
